The Gobi Desert - update 2: After the beautiful sunset at the White Stupa, we drove on to the canyon of Yoliin Am. A green oasis in all this dust. Next came a camel ride near the sand dunes of Khongoryn Els. Climbing these dunes was quite a challenge (120m of Echternach processon!), but it was really worth it for the views. The Gobi Desert - update 1: We had an awesome time travelling through the south of Mongolia! After visiting Genghis on his horse, we got to see the majestic park of Ikh Gazriin Chuluu. We got to witness the Mongolian festival of Naadam

We got to witness the Mongolian festival of Naadam over the past few days. This includes archery, wrestling and horseriding. But the most impressive of all is the game of Kokpar. This has 2 horseriders going at it in a frenzied tug of war with a headless goat. The game only stops when the goat is completely ripped apart.
